Russian heavyweight Alexander Emelianenko posted a video apology to his former contender Sergei Kharitonov before fight club “Ahmad”:
“Journalists are sowing conflicts in the Internet and say lots of lies, – said Kharitonov in the video. – I want to say openly: I have respect for the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov and the club “Ahmad”. I have trained many friends. Club “Ahmad” makes for a lot of athletes, and the guys out on a world level.
With Alexander Emelyanenko we settle the conflict. We’ll sort it out in the ring. I think it will be pretty tough opposition. Everyone will like it and will gather a huge hall.
What I want to say about people, misunderstandings on the Internet: in front of decent people, I always apologize. And I apologize if someone misunderstood me. Our clubs, “Ahmad” and “Vityaz” – force. Russia – power. Only forward.”
