Jaime Mungia commented on the possible fights with Alvarez and Golovkin

At the beginning of the year, a former world champion under version WBO in the Welterweight Jaime Mungia, had a successful debut in the Middleweight division, winning in the 11th round of the Gary O’sullivan. The rising star of Mexican Boxing specially moved into a new weight for the fights with more experienced opponents.

In particular, Mungia admits that he wants to fight with compatriot Saulem Alvarez and veteran Kazakh Gennady Golovkin. At the same time, 23-year-old boxer claims that will not to hurry. According to Mungai, he is willing to wait a little longer, and then to go on formidable opponents.

“I’m the youngest here. I continue to grow, gain experience and become more energetic. For me it would be better to meet with Alvarez or Golovkin in a year or two.

I want to fight the best. Was the talk about Golovkin and Canelo, but no specifics no. It depends not from me but from my promoters. However, I am not in a hurry.

I don’t have the exact dates of the next battle. I tried to speak may 2 on the undercard of the Canelo fight, but in reality we were not close. We are waiting for the date of the battle,” said Jaime Mungia.
